JCBES celebrates nutrition month last July 31, 2019. This year’s theme was “Kumain nang wasto at maging aktibo…Push natin ‘to!” The theme encourages everyone to advocate and realize the importance of healthy diets, increased physical activity and reduced sedentary behavior. Pushing the advocacy means that each and everyone can contribute to better nutrition and physical activity for better health.
The event started with a parade around the barangay Pasong Kawayan 1 participated by selected pupils, teacher and General Parents- Teachers Association.
Following the program proper held at JCBES covered court. Our principal Mark Airon Creus shared a story of the importance of eating vegetables in his opening remarks and he challenges them to eat vegetables because it is very beneficial to their body.
Then the celebration continues with the presentation of jingles that showcase the creativity of the children. And of course, the highlight of the program is the costume contest that presents beautiful and different attire made out of vegetable designs. And Jaja Simpelo was awarded as the best in that competition.
